The stylishly furnished dining room in Palma's old town quarter La Lonja is just steps from El Borne. The atmosphere is rustic-cosy with a touch of modernity.
The coliflor a la brasa with harissa and yoghurt — good idea, slightly undercooked execution. The yoghurt felt like ready-made mayonnaise. A shame.
The bruschetta de steak tartar picante, however, was sublime. Classically garnished with quail egg, the bread perfectly toasted, the tartare spot-on spicy.
The solomillo was equally excellent: cooked to perfection, great quality, lovely nutty flavour.
KOA is a lovely spot. Not cheap, but with its prime location, attractive interior and predominantly excellent food, the value is fair.
