It started great — but somehow went downhill. At Santa Palma, each course got a little worse. Nestled in the bustling Calle Fàbrica, the restaurant fits seamlessly into Santa Catalina's vibrant scene.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with dark tones brightened by creative lighting. A lovely setting for a night out.
We started with Stairway to Heaven, a pleasant wine. The Bravas Hojaldradas, a finely layered potato gratin, impressed as a starter. The Santa Ensaladilla and the Tosta del Payés with truffled sobrasada were hits too.
The Lomo Black Angus with fries was well-executed but lacked character. The Coliflor Asada was disappointing, and the Smashing Pistacho dessert was a touch too sweet.
Overall, Santa Palma offers a pleasant experience with lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Starters are strong; mains and desserts have room to grow.
