Read more→I was in Port d'Andratx with my wife for a viewing. A colleague recommended Verico, opposite the Club de Vela — and what a recommendation it was.
The restaurant sits slightly elevated with a glass-enclosed dining room. Google rates Verico at 4.8 — deservedly so.
My starter: scamorza cheese in delicate tempura batter with tomato jam. Wonderful! Incredible textures and flavour. Then a classic consommé of small porcini with homemade ravioli — sublime.
The main course, grilled white fish on a vegetable bed, was perfectly cooked but could have used a bit more character flavour-wise.
The passion fruit crème brûlée with coconut ice cream, however, was a revelation. Fantastic!
Service was exceptionally warm and knowledgeable — our waiter spoke four languages. Italian cuisine interpreted in an exciting, creative and masterfully crafted way. One of the best fine dining experiences on the island.
